Masai Culture Itinerary includes a deep dive into the rich traditions and lifestyle of the Maasai people, one of the dominant tribes in Kenya. The itinerary typically covers aspects such as Maasai traditional shelters, which are impermanent circular houses known as “Enkangs” protected by fences to safeguard their cattle. It also delves into the patriarchal structure of Maasai society where elder men hold significant roles, and the unique burial customs that involve leaving the deceased for scavengers to maintain the balance with nature. Additionally, the itinerary explores the monotheistic Maasai religion centered around Enkai, with distinct color associations like black for prosperity and red for vengeance. Furthermore, it may include insights into the Maasai diet comprising meat, blood, milk, and other essential foods for sustenance. The cultural journey often highlights the vibrant attire of the Maasai people characterized by black, red, blue colors, and intricate beadwork jewelry. Overall, a Masai Culture Itinerary offers a comprehensive exploration of the fascinating heritage and practices of this remarkable community in East Africa.

In the morning we drive to Olpopongi in West Kilimanjaro region. Olpopongi is 74 kilometers from Moshi. Our two hours drive will take us through the beautiful outback of West Kilimanjaro.
