You will depart Arusha in the morning on the first day of your 7 days Tanzania budget safari and travel to Tarangire National Park. You will either spend your first night in lodgings or do extensive camping or lodge at Mto wa Mbu.
After you've had your delicious breakfast on the second day of this 5 days and 4 nights Tanzania budget safari, we'll head off for the Serengeti National Park. Our picnic lunch will be enjoyed on one of the kopjes (rock outcroppings). We will continue to the Serengeti after lunch, where you will be given complete camping or lodge amenities and a delicious meal.

After breakfast, we will set off on a full-day game drive in the wilderness, following the Great Migration trails. Our experienced driver tour guide will provide you with interesting facts about this highly renowned event, which makes Tanzania the top safari destination in Africa. Serengeti, a UNESCO world heritage site, is home to around 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles, which join in the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Listen to the exotic sounds of over six million hooves pounding the open plains. This is just like you imagined Africa to be. Overnight at your camp.
Our day will begin with an early morning recreation strength in the vital Serengeti. The savannah is an active landscape, and the air is flooded with the melodies the birds create as the regenerated daylight starts to light up the whole landscape. Dinner and excellent tenting facilities may be provided.
After breakfast, we will go to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive and have a picnic lunch by a lake with hippos and migratory birds. The crater is an "oasis" for animals and we have a high chance of seeing every member of "The Big 5" - lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, and buffalo. The crater was formed over two million years ago from a volcanic eruption, leaving a perfectly unbroken caldera. We will see zebras, hippo, wildebeests, hyenas, flamingos, hawks, vultures, storks, ibis, and cranes. After the game drive, we will return to Manyara for the night.
In the morning, our driver guide will take you on a cultural tour with the Hazare community. This is a day spent with a typical cultural tribe, where we will engage in real hunting together. The Hazabe tribe used to live in the Serengeti but was forced away by stronger tribes. They live in a traditional way, hunting game and collecting honey. Their huts are simple and easily abandoned. Similar to the San tribe of the Kalahari in southern Africa, the Hazabe speak a click language. The trip will end in the late afternoon, and we will return to Mto wa Mbu for an overnight stay.
On our last day of the 7 days Tanzania safari, we go to Lake Manyara National Park. We are able to eat our picnic lunch in the beautiful park during afternoon. We'll be able to leave Manyara in the late afternoon and continue to Arusha.
