There is always boiled and filtered drinking water for clients. Cooks always make sure the food is well cooked and utensils are sterilized with clean hot water before they are used. The mess tent is cleaned on a daily basis. Mess tents are solely reserved for clients’ use and we do not allow porters to sleep in them.

Good personal hygiene is one of the best ways to protect yourself from getting diseases or any other infectious diseases like cholera, making personal hygiene all the time can make you to be protected from diseases. Therefore you should wash your hands with soap. but also maintaining good personal hygiene will also help prevent you from spreading diseases to other people. COVID-19 is disease which spread through air so in case you maintain personal hygiene by wearing your clean face mask you will be able to protect yourself and to protect others from getting this disease.

Personal hygiene includes
Cleaning your body every day even twice per day
Washing your hands with soap after going to the toilet

Cut your nails before climbing Before you start your journey you should make sure that you cut your toe nails and your finger nails in order to protect yourself from getting foot injuries which may cause your nail to be removed. Care your foot you should make sure that you wash your legs before you put on your shoes each day because some legs produce bad smell and other get fingers fungus disease because of hot in shoes and don’t forget to apply some powder to reduce sweat and bad smell.

Maintain Oral Hygiene On Mount Kilimanjaro there is so cold so anyone should make sure to carry important personal equipment. Menstrual Hygiene This is always involve women’s who are trekking on mountain Kilimanjaro. it is advised to use menstrual cups and cloth pads as they are hygienic and reusable.
