Can I climb Kilimanjaro myself?
Legally, this is not possible. Regulations only speak to being accompanied by a licensed guide. It including registered porters and no other support staff like cookers. However, there are some big challenges that make this attempt impractical for approximately anyone.
No one can guide himself he/she will want to have a porter to carry his luggage. According to Tanzania laws you should have at least one Guide, one Cook and three up to four Porters before starting for the trekking to Mt. Kilimanjaro.
